4 each apples and ripe but firm pears, peeled and sliced thinly

2 cups cranberries

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon


1/2 cup each whole-wheat flour and large flake oats

1/3 cup each brown sugar and wheat bran

1 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp ground cardamom

1/4 tsp allspice

1/3 cup Becel Buttery Taste Margarine

Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C). Place apples and pears in a large bowl along with cranberries, granulated sugar and cinnamon. Stir until evenly mixed. Turn into a baking dish, about 10-inches (25 cm) round, evenly distributing cranberries. In a medium bowl, combine flour with oats, brown sugar, wheat bran and spices until evenly mixed. Using your fingertips mix in Becel margarine until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake until fruit is tender and bubbling around edges and crumble is a deep brown, 40-45 minutes. Check at 25 minutes, if topping is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
