The Summerland Action Fest provided a sterling example of a young and fit seventy year old who remains active in several challenging physical pursuits and who is our SSP of the Month. Continuing the pattern of a lifetime Michael Dean participates in a diverse regimen of physical activities, community involvement and the arts. Depending on the time and day of the week Summerland resident Michael Dean can be found cycling or running in the hills, participating in Man of Steel triathlons, swimming at the aquatic centre or hustling on the links at the golf course bonding with his mates.

Michael also involves himself actively in making music where he plays the guitar and lends his vocal talents to singing groups. Just to round out his spare time he also dabbles with watercolours to compose some very attractive and artistically pleasing paintings. To say that Michael is a busy senior is somewhat of an understatement. To add further dimension to his active lifestyle Michael is seeking more connections within the community.

Yes, this well rounded individual maintains his physical well being, while engaging his musical and artistic talents to advantage enhancing a complete and enjoyable lifestyle Not only is he a participant in these activities but he has worked the sports industry at the Whistler Resort and Predator Ridge Golf Course. Congratulations Michael you are demonstrating that there is so much to enjoy in life by participating in a physically active lifestyle.
