This month's sports personalities come from our featured sport of Curling and spotlight an active couple that originally hail from Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Jerry and Audrey Lindin, who are in their late 70s, reside in Summerland and this Curling Club is their home rink.

Each of the Lindins takes the time to curl an average of three times a week in season. Jerry and Audrey took part in the Summerland version of Guy Hemmings Rockin the Rock with Audrey coming away with the Canadian Curling Association jacket as her prize. Audrey was effusive in her praise of Guy as an able ambassador for the CCA.

In addition to curling and volunteering in the community the Lindins participate in daily walking, exercise at Curves, golf three times a week, belong to the Summerland Couples Dance Club and the Summerland Kiwanis Club. Our best wishes and thanks go to the Jerry and Audrey Lindin of Summerland who are setting a sterling example of seniors remaining competitive in active sports for active seniors.
