It is indeed fitting that our Sports Personality for June is a multi-talented, gregarious fellow a mere 65 years of age. If you don't find the affable Wayne Blair of Kelowna in his hockey gear playing with his Kelowna and Boucherie buddies you will find him preparing to compete in the multitude of Senior Oldtimer hockey tournaments and the Seniors Games Ice Hockey Competition.

On warm, sunny days you will find Wayne on the fairways of many of Kelowna's finer golf courses (and any golf course within a golf drive distance of the hockey venues). If that doesn't provide sufficient activity to keep him out of the house, Weiner is also an accomplished singer and musician. You should be able to catch one of the performances by Wayne because anytime he has a few moments of spare time he can be seen practicing, jamming or performing at the many music festivals in the Okanagan, like the Summerland Bluegrass Festival at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds from the 8th to the 10th of June.

Not simply fiddling his time away on trivial recreation pursuits, Wayne is also a Sales Representative for All Canadian Investment Corporation in Kelowna. Congratulations Wayne, you are a sterling example of seniors leading a healthy, active lifestyle while contributing effectively to the interest of their communities.
