Realtors with special training provide help for seniors
Seniors Choice Newsmagazine, August 2007

If you are thinking of selling your home and downsizing, or it may be time to move into an assisted-living complex, you may want to hire a "Seniors Real Estate Specialist"
Yep! Something new. This designation is exclusive to Real Estate professionals who have successfully completed the training offered by the Seniors Advisory Council.

Real Estate Specialists are trained to help you make wise decisions regarding the sale of your home, inform you about financing options, and explain current trends and opportunities for seniors in the housing market. We also maintain referral relationships with accountants and real estate attorneys so we can refer our clients to those professionals as needed.

While any licensed Realtor can handle a transaction, it is the wise senior who seeks out someone with experience in the 55-Plus market place, according to Richard "Dick" Gaylord, the National Assn. of Realtors' nominee for 2006 first vice president.

There are so many factors particular to the seniors' circumstance that they'll be better off with a Realtor who is familiar with that terrain.

Whether you are considering the sale of your home to down size or making a move to assisted living, you should consider the services of a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

If you have any questions please call me at 250-493-2244 or 250-488-2506
